概略

Inspired by Bamboo -exhibition presents works from Finnish and Japanese designers, who are fascinated by the challenging bamboo material. The nature of bamboo is shown from its original shape to more refined form. The designs propose solutions on ho to combine new methods and techniques with a material which has been long and widely used in Japan. They also take part in the discussion of how to use bamboo in an industrialized way, and how to work with the material to fulfill different needs from everyday objects to more luxurious and customized products. The products are made of Hagi’s strong and durable bamboo material.
